Personal Care and Cosmetic Products Evaluation – Advanced
Learn evaluation protocols and new attributes for complex and on trend products
Building on Sensory Spectrum’s classic Personal Care Products course, this course invites working personal care sensory scientists, cosmetic chemists, and advanced panel leaders to learn new protocols and attributes for descriptive evaluation of color cosmetics, sunscreens, and on trend categories such as masks, food focused products, and male grooming. Over 2 days, experience products and protocols hands on. Go behind the scenes to delve into how protocols are developed and the challenges of working with some product forms. Discuss how to ask questions to ensure a protocol has relevance to the research test questions and the audience(s) using the data. Participants are encouraged to bring their stories and questions to share with the group.
About the Course
Beginning with a review of core Spectrum leave on and wash off product protocols, explore a variety of products and protocols. Through practice with diverse products, participants complete the course knowing new attributes and the thought processes needed to develop new protocols quickly. Drawn from Spectrum’s approach to protocol development, this course focuses on protocol and attribute learning rather than scaling attribute intensity.
