Learning immersion for objective language & techniques to assess personal care products and ingredients
Course Description
Link experience to terminology in this hands on course. Through focused sessions, be introduced to detailed qualitative characteristics (descriptors) and quantitative aspects (intensity scales) for descriptive analysis across common classes of personal care products. Learn language for communicating and evaluating attributes of personal care products for all stages of development, maintenance and marketing. Review established testing procedures with consideration on how to establish new ones. Discuss how to use descriptive information to tell the story of products and to decode consumer research.
Who Should Attend
Sensory scientists, cosmetic chemists, suppliers, sensory analysts, marketing, and QA & QC personnel currently involved in the measurement of the sensory properties derived from lotions, soaps, antiperspirants, cosmetics, hair care and other personal care products or who want to improve their communication skills through better understanding of personal care products’ objective properties.
About the Course
Starting with review of our innate sensory tools, explore the personal care descriptive evaluation process for leave on and wash off products. Based on the participants attending, other focus areas such as antiperspirants, hair care products, and cosmetics are addressed.
